Due to the cancelled UK shows in September 1993, Simon, finding himself at a loose end, graciously agreed to an interview with John, for The Notorious Duranzine. He expressed what Ordinary World meant to him, Warren's prolific guitar playing and how it effected the band when Andy and Roger left. Plus what does Simon wear in bed?
Dear Duran Duran fans, let me introduce myself. My name is Angelos (Angel) Georgas and I live in Athens Greece. Μy engagement as a Duran Duran fan starts back in 1982, when one day of the early summer, I heard for a first time on the radio the song My own way from the Rio album. This was for me, the Point of no return. I started collecting vinyl, cassette tapes, and any audio & video format that was released on the market as official. In time, I slowly encountered even more deep waters by collecting a lot of rare memorabilia.
December 2010 marked the release of the critically acclaimed 13th studio album of eighties icons, Duran Duran. The superstitious amongst us could say that thirteen would prove to be an unlucky omen. However, things turned out rather differently for All You Need is Now, a work of art that became eponymous as Rio (Part 2) due to the distinct similarities between the two albums.
We are very honoured and humbled to welcome the legendary producer of The Wedding Album, Mr John Jones.
He very kindly agreed to answer questions from ourselves and Duran Duran Proboard members, in recognition of the album's 25th Anniversary Celebrations.
